Eating at home
If you decide to eat at home, you will find all the cooking utensils etc. that you might need to prepare your favourite exotic dishes! Fresh fruit, vegetables, seafood, chicken, eggs, bread and much, much more can all be found in the market (mercado) in Zihua.
For all other needs, there is a shop on the road from the apartment to Zihua (near the Fire Station - Los Bomberos) where Señora Gloria stocks cereals, cheese, milk, softdrinks, beer, bags of ice and practically anything else you might need in the groceries line.
An enormous supermarket "La Comercial Mexicana" opened recently. It is a five-minute taxi ride from the apartment and has everything you could possibly need.
Although the electric hotplate is somewhat slow, the apartment has an extremely efficient, fast microwave.
